3 Trees for 3 Babies

Right after I had Allison and Isaac, Jimmy wanted to give me something to "honor" their birth. Being that Jimmy is a tree/lawn guy, it seemed only fitting that he would honor our children with a tree! It was a big joke to plant the placenta with the tree. I know...to much info!! Anyway, he brought home these small "skinny" trees and planted them in an empty yard. There they stood, blowing in the wind in the middle of a yard of grass. After Ashley was born, again Jimmy bought me another tree. This one a little "meatier" but still so small. We also decided to make a burm around the trees and make them all come "together" instead on just being out in the middle of grass.
It's funny to me how these trees that "represent" each child are so them. From being these skinny little trees to growing into trees that actually can handle the wind, grow, and bloom. Once the burm was around them, it just fit. They belong there...together...as a family. I know this sounds rather strange, but these trees are so Alli, Isaac, and Ashley

First the Alli tree, still a bit on the small side, rather compact, but so can hold her own. Growing slowly, but surely everday into quite the tree. Notice all the flowers...it must be Alli!

This is Isaac's tree, not so many flowers, but grew way faster than the other tree. These branches are sticking out further reaching in all directions...taking it all in. Enjoying the wind blowing through it's branches, knowing everyday it is getting bigger and stronger.

Finally, the Ashley tree. She is a different color, same type of tree, just a different breed. This tree grew really fast (trying to keep up with the other trees:)!), it's branches reach up and out, taking it all in like the Isaac tree. She also has lots of flowers like the Alli tree. Yet, she is different. She stands behind the two trees, but people still notice this pink tree.

These trees are my babies! Silly as it may sound, my hope is that my children take root, grow big and strong, enjoy the wind blowing, and the seasons changing (the flowers blooming in the spring, the shade it provides in the summer, the beauty of the leaves changing in the fall, and branches bare in the winter). I want them to experience life...the miracle that God has given us. To be thankful for each day and try to find the "good" in it. Knowing that they have a solid foundation and each other right next to them and most importantly that they are loved and can handle what ever "weather".

I never knew that you planted the trees, it is beautiful. I have to agree, you can't even move, if so you have to take the trees with you. And might I add that you really have a way with words which is one thing that I never knew about you until you started blogging!
